ASSBI AWARDS

At ASSBI, we believe it is important to celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals who are advancing knowledge, practice, and advocacy in the field of Brain Impairment.

Reflecting ASSBI’s commitment to building capacity and strengthening the voice of lived experience, ASSBI offers the following three awards that recognise outstanding contributions at our conference

Conference awards

Best Student Presentation

Best Student Presentations will be initially shortlisted from submitted abstracts and then judged live for quality of both the verbal and visual presentation. Communication of the value of the research and its clinical relevance will also be considered

Travel Award

For consideration of the Lived Experience Award, presentations need to demonstrate meaningful inclusion of people with lived experience and communicate the impact of the research for our understanding of, or support for, people with brain conditions.

"Lived Experience" Award

Abstract submissions identified as submitted by PhD students or early career researchers (up to 5-years post-qualification) will be considered for the Travel Award. Abstracts will be reviewed for overall quality and for relevance to the conference theme.
